Blankers family history

The founder Henricus Blanquaerts subscribes himself thirtyfour-year old as cremer (pedlar) in Maastricht in 1744, he is from Cologne and so he is born around 1710 (the document of his subscription as 'poorter', citizen).

Marries Ida Hermans and gets 2 children, then leaves to Amsterdam around 1770. His son lives, probably with him, in 1777 on 'de pijpemarkt' (pipemarket).
This is now the NZ Voorburgwal between paleisstraat and St Luciasteeg at the boommarkt. Pipes (gouwenaars) were unloaded and this was the centre of the pipetrade. There were also docks for ships (OA dec 1964).
Now after 2 centuries I live 1500 meter from this place (Amsterdam 1724 with location).

Dijkman history

The ancestor Hans Barend Dijkman, born in Brunter (Brundersen) in the County of Lippe, Germany around 1714. (here is the document of his registration as a burgher) by profession dry shearing, shearing sheets in a dry state.

His name was probably Diekmann (or Deichmann) and that name was Dutchized. The banns were married on 27-10-1741 in Nieuwe Kerk, Amsterdam. Marries widow Grietje OOTMARINK.
The orphanage has been satisfied, which means that there were minor children. Her father's name is Hendrik Ootmarijns.
When he died on March 28, 1759 (only 45 years old) he lived outside the window gate on the stadbuitensingel. That would now be the Nassaukade near the Bloemgracht.
He is buried at the Noorderkerkhof in the Jordaan, Amsterdam. She was also buried at the Noorderkerkhof on 11-2-1769 with deckhouse and bar (luxury).
